Save-the-Date National Marine Educators Association 2014 Conference is Scheduled for July 21- 25, in Annapolis, Maryland 2014 conference Call for Papers! We are extending the proposal submission deadline through 5 pm EST on Friday, January 31. Please submit TODAY!
The Mid-Atlantic Marine Education Association (MAMEA) is proudly hosting the NMEA 2014 conference in Annapolis, Md. NMEA’s mission is to make known the world of water both fresh and salt, and we bring together formal and informal marine educators around the world to promote awareness and education of the global marine environment. The conference draws 300-500 formal and informal educators from high schools, public aquariums, non-profit NGOs, and government agencies together for five days of learning, sharing, and networking. The 2014 conference will have STEM and the Next Generation Science Standards as a main focus.

Youth Service America Grants
o Want to make a difference? Take action? Solve a tough community problem? Whether you’re a child, teen, educator, or adult mentor, YSA Grants and programs can power your service and service-learning projects year-round.
Scholarships Available! o Did you know that FMSEA awards scholarships to educators every year? Individual Scholarships will be presented to FMSEA members to attend either an environmental professional development program or a professional conference (including the FMSEA annual conference). Awards may cover registration, travel or accommodation costs. Applicants are encouraged to secure matching funds from sources other than FMSEA.
o Scholarship Applications are due 60 days prior to program/conference for which you are applying.
o Submitting an application does not guarantee funds will be awarded. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
