St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School (www.sasweb.org) seeks a Chinese language teacher with an undergraduate and/or advanced degree in Chinese or a related field. Responsibilities will include teaching four sections of Chinese language, serving as a liaison to our Chinese parents, and helping to encourage cross cultural interactions. Applicants with prior teaching experience, boarding school experience, and/or interest in being part of a residential community will be given special consideration. Expertise or interest in coaching, outdoor education, and/or the fine or performing arts is desirable.
Compensation – Salary is dependent on education and experience; teachers are given salary credit for teaching experience. Benefits include a tuition remission plan, health and dental insurance, worker’s compensation, short-term and long-term disability, group life insurance, pension plan, and eligibility for grants for professional enrichment and continuing education. Housing may be available in exchange for residential duties.
