Conn-Selmer is a leading manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments and accessories. The current company includes a portfolio of individual companies or brands that represent innovation, entrepreneurship, and a focus on musical excellence. An unwavering support for music education and advocacy for the arts can be seen through leadership by Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, who heads the Conn-Selmer Institute, and the Conn-Selmer Division of Education. “Dr. Tim” is also the chair of the Tri-M® Music Honor Society’s advisory council.

“We are pleased to welcome Conn-Selmer to the Roundtable,” said Michael A. Butera, executive director and CEO of NAfME. “We want to ensure that every child has access to music in school. Working together with our Roundtable corporate supporters and members, we plan to help others learn how music education orchestrates success.”

“With a long history of supporting music education,” added Assistant Executive Director Christopher Woodside, “Conn-Selmer is a natural fit for the Music Education Policy Roundtable. Conn-Selmer’s support for music teachers and students is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to partnering together.”

We are very excited to have Conn-Selmer join us in ensuring the presence and preservation of school music programs. The Roundtable first formed in 2012 to unify many great music education organizations under a single policy banner, and we continue to move toward that goal as more organizations join in supporting this very important issue and worthwhile cause.
